Is this for you?

The Fertility Test is ideal for anyone looking to conceive, undertake family planning for the future or simply gain insight into their own fertility. This simple and straightforward test kit is suitable for home use and can give you insight into your fertility by measuring hormone levels in your blood.
Fertility naturally declines with age, so it’s always best to have a good idea of where you stand. It can also help to explain symptoms you may be experiencing relating to your menstrual cycle or menstrual system.

Hormones: Hormones govern every activity of your body, from growth and metabolism to reproduction and your sleep cycle. Even a small imbalance in your hormone levels can have a significant impact on your health, affecting your mood and energy levels as well as fertility and libido. Hormones are known as chemical messengers which are manufactured in your glands and released into your bloodstream. They instruct your body in everything it does – regulating appetite, growth, mood and reproduction. Generally they keep the body functioning and in balance. Hormone disorders are common and can often be put right through hormone replacement therapy or lifestyle changes. Hormone levels fluctuate throughout the day and, for women, through the reproductive cycle.

Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH)
Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is a hormone produced by the ovaries. In particular, it is produced by the follicles which contain eggs within the ovary. Levels can indicate how high or low a woman’s ovarian reserve is. Anti-Mullerian Hormone is not routinely measured in men. It may be used by specialist fertility clinics in assessing sperm production.

Why take this test?

- You want to check your ovarian reserve is appropriate for your age
- You are considering IVF and have been advised to have an AMH test
